Lady Jane
DSH - Female - DOB May 8 2019
Lady Jane is a sweet and independent young cat. When she first came to NHKR, she was very shy and hesitant to trust people. She has since made progress and has shown growth in her confidence when around familiar people. Lady Jane is a lower energy cat and is quite content spending her days snoozing alongside her brother, Muppet. They can often be found together in the cat house snuggling and grooming each other. At night, she will retreat to her high perch and snuggle up with her favourite blanket which she will bring with her to her new home. During the night, when the house is quiet, Muppet and her like to play with and chase each other throughout the house. Once she warms up, Lady Jane seeks affection, loves to be pet and brushed with long strokes, and will let you know she is content with a warm, loud purr while rubbing up against you. When she wants to get your attention, she will let out a soft, faint meow. She loves to sit on your lap or share a bed with you at night, if you allow. Lady Jane is tidy with her food and litter. She is not food-driven although she does enjoy the occasional treat. Lady Jane is comfortable being held. She enjoys scratching her paws against a vertical cat post and requires an experienced person to trim her nails. Lady Jane would do best in a quieter home with adults. It will take her some time to become comfortable with new people as she often finds a quiet place to retreat while guests are visiting. Lady Jane is closely bonded with her brother, Muppet, and they must be adopted together. She gives him confidence and companionship. They can’t wait to find their forever home together!
